Unblocked: Unlocking Collaboration Tooling through Generative AI

At XYZ, we assert there are massive operational unlocks to be captured for enhancing workflows, saving time, and enabling collaboration that only recently was possible through the emergence of Generative AI. In the case of Unblocked, founded by our longtime friend Dennis Pilarinos, Unblocked is a platform designed to combat hours of searching and information updating just for developers to understand and maintain their codebase. Unblocked saves developers time and energy from trying to understand nuances behind the architecture of specific codebase by providing relevant and accurate answers to various questions. Unblocked empowers full engineering teams to gain context anywhere in the codebase to understand who created the code, what is the architecture of it, what rules are precedent, and what changes were previously made. 

Now with the advent of AI, the LLM can draw the most relevant context because the model follows where engineers live in their work. Even better, it integrates with Slack, GitHub, JIRA, and more, all at the heart of where all engineers work to provide accurate context and answers to any code questions. Going forward, it maintains and updates strong institutional knowledge of codebase to help answer questions for developers to come. 

Dennis has been a lifelong builder of developer tooling. Ross first backed Dennis in 2016, when he built Buddy Build as a platform for mobile apps to host continuous integration for developers. It was quickly acquired by Apple in 2018, however, Dennis still felt a missing knowledge gap that could be significantly improved if developer tooling could help fill in the gaps of missing specific context while saving valuable time.
